What: traditional Andean music, modern composition by Chilean composers, and new arrangements of Baroque music.

This chamber duo performs on guitars, viola, and charango - a small Andean instrument similar to a lute or guitar. Their wide repertoire includes the traditional Andean music that is the Duo's specialty, modern compositions by Chilean composers, and also some refreshing new arrangements of Baroque music (Vivaldi, Telemann, etc.) plus new works written for them.  They have been featured in concerts all over the US and were interviewed on NPR recently. This will not be a "stuffy" program; children of all ages
will enjoy seeing and hearing this.

The choir was formed in 1976 to introduce and incorporate Gospel music into the celebration of the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alexandria. The ensemble has compiled a wide repertoire of music, consisting of spirituals, hymns, anthems, and traditional and contemporary gospel.
